INTRODUCTION :
Frank Rust Tech 114 consist of film forming ingredients dissolved in solvents to give fluids of low viscosity. On evaporation of the solvent, they offer a thin, transparent, tough, abrasion resistant film. The film is slightly tacky initially but hardens within a few hours to a firm plactic firm
Application by dipping is the preferred method. However, they can also be applied by spraying, swabbing, roller coating or flow coating. The protective film can be removed by solvent degreasing or by alkaline degreasants
APPLICATION :
Frank Rust Tech 114 give a hard yellow /red transparent, varnish like film. The film becomes tack dry in 30 minutes and fully dry in 8 – 10 hours. The fully dry film can withstand subsequent handling and dirt does not adhere to it. Both these grades are suitable for protection of camshafts, crankshafts, cylinder liners, shanckle pins, gudgeon pins, gears, springs, taps and dies, nuts and screws, hand tools, steel rods and bars etc.
