FRANK QUENCH FQ1

INTRODUCTION :
FRANK FQ 1 is a high quality quenching oil developed for general purpose metal quenching operations. It is formulated for hardening a variety of ball bearing, high speed steel tools and other components in major Industries from specially selected high viscosity index base stocks having good oxidation stability, good fluidity and low volatility. The polar additive used in formulation of this oil imparts accelerated quenching characteristics to the product.

APPLICATION :

FRANK FQ 1 is recommended for quenching operations on a wide variety of steel, to impart the desired hardness to components without metallurgical distortion.  The special compounding agent incorporated in the oil improves wetting ability of the oil so that it provides faster initial cooling for optimum hardness.  At the same time, the base oil ensures slow cooling in the final stage for stress relief and distortion free results.

FRANK FQ 1 is particularly recommended for hardnening of a variety of ball bearings high speed steel tools and other components in major industries.

For best quenching performance and long service life, it is recommended to maintain the oil bath temperatures between 50 Deg C and 60 Deg C.
