INTRODUCTION: FRANK PHOS FDX – 1 is a chemical intended for protecting steel surfaces when Dipped/Sprayed/Brushed by providing a Iron Phosphate coating with a sealer

ADVANTAGES
FRANK PHOS FDX – 1 PROVIDES Iron Phosphate coating followed by a corrosion resistant Resin coating. The process is very simple and does not require any skilled manpower or control

2. Derusting
3. Phosphating
4. Sealing

OPERATINAL DATA
Application : By immersion of by Brush
Temperature : Room Temperature
Treatment Time : 5 to 10 Minutes (For Immersion)

PROCESS
Preparation of the Surface
Although FRANK PHOS FDX 1 contains powerful solvents to remove oils, heavy oils and greases may contaminate the resin coating resulting in poor adhesic. Hence components with heavy oils and greases should be cleaned with suitable thinners prior to the FRANK PHOS FDX 1 treatment

Similarly FRANK PHOS FDX 1 can remove light rusts and components having heavy rusts and scales should be cleaned with FRANK DINE FDR 5 prior to FRANK PHOS FDX – 1 treatment.

DRYING TIME
Force Drying : 2 – 5 minutes at 80 Deg C
Air Drying : 10 – 15 minutes at Room Temp

COMPATIBILITY
After the complete drying, the components can be subsequently over coated with any paint system

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
FRANK PHOS FDX – 1 contains powerful solvents and acid and therefore necessary precautions should be taken out to inhale vapour.

STORAGE
FRANK PHOS FDX – 1 contains solvents which are inflammable and therefore care should be taken to store it away from fire / heat
